"To anyone sending seeds this has been my most reliable way of packing for seeds to remain viable through transport. Alot of tropical fruit seeds lose viability quickly if not cleaned and packed well. (Abiu, durian, mango esp) - ASAP after removal from the fruit, wash/clean the seeds VERY well under running water. Remove any flesh and discard any seeds with fungal marks. (rubbing the seeds with a towel under running water has been effective for me) - Surface sterilize the seeds by soaking the seeds in a solution of hydrogen hypochlorite (common bleach) and water 1:1 for 10-15 mins (no longer). Its not the most eco friendly but i found that even the strong hydrogen peroxide was not strong/reliable enough for sterilization of durian -Straight after, dry the seeds with a clean piece of fabric and pack the seeds in a clean zip lock sealable bag with a few wrung out/semi damp cotton balls/pads inside the bag with the seeds. -Write on the bag with permenant marker clearly. Write the botanical name, date packed, variety, place of packing. eg; ARTOCARPUS HETEROPHYLLUS (Jackfruit) packed: 21/1/2016 cultivar: 'Berry' Queensland, Australia" Source: nico paradiso
